Long awaited, the reform of real estate foreclosure took place in 2006. The new provisions, which came into force on January 1, 2007, are a continuation of the 1991-1992 texts, which now have their complement. The 2006 reform obviously led the author to revise the sections devoted to real estate foreclosure for the new edition of this work. However, the current events concerning enforcement procedures are not limited to this foreclosure. Indeed, while the 1991-1992 reform regarding movable asset seizures is now relatively old, the subsequent changes resulting from certain provisions, some of which are (or are still) recent, should not be overlooked. Furthermore, it is important to pay attention to case law, which, faced with difficulties in applying the texts resulting from this reform, continues to provide useful answers.
