They go by the names Zartmo, Mr. Bracke, Mrs. Gore, Ruben Black, Big Willy, Walter, Dom, or the Leek Worshiper. They are like brothers to us, mad, scandalous. They tear through the shroud of the old world with their teeth, with words that shake up and violate the reasonable order in which they are meant to be confined. They suffer, they laugh, and, even worse, they speak to us.

Gérard Mordillat, filmmaker and writer, has notably published Vive la Sociale! (available in Points), Les Vivants et les morts, and Notre part des ténèbres; he directed, with Jérôme Prieur, the series Corpus Christi and L’Origine du christianisme.
