Queen Mother, Christine de Rivoyre

An assault. An ordinary assault by a drug addict, one morning at dawn, while she was out walking her dog in the neighborhood, and now Reine is covered in bruises, body and soul. Renamed Reine-mère by her family, she lives alone on Rue Suger, near the Saint-Michel fountain. Ritualistically, on Fridays, her three children come to see her there: Vincent, a painter by profession, with his young son Clovis in tow, Viviane, accompanied by her pompous husband and their eldest daughter Julie, and Camille, the youngest, who loves dance, her mother, and animals.
