At the turn of the 20th century, twenty years after being devastated by phylloxera, the Corrézien vineyard had completely disappeared, leading to the ruin of the Chantegrêle estate. But the Pierrebrune family, stubborn winemakers, refused to give up. Encouraged by his cousin Gaspard, David Pierrebrune decided to continue the adventure in the mythical Médoc terroir. From a still wild enclosure, not far from Pauillac, he passionately set about creating a renowned grand cru and quickly became rich. A quiet rivalry soon arose between him and his more ambitious and worldly cousin, who managed to gain acceptance into the very exclusive Chartrons circles and approach the beautiful Constance, the most beautiful ornament of Bordeaux aristocracy. In terms of seduction, tenacity, and talent, both were truly heirs of Chantegrêle. But who would prevail?
