All these stories are rigorously authentic. Some will therefore seem incredible. Most are dated and localized. This answers a need to recall an obvious fact: what is captured in the moment vanishes into nothingness, but at the same time, the most fleeting images are often those that stick best in our memory. We are made of this trivial mosaic as much as of our grandiose projects. As for ridicule, it lurks for each of us and thus invites us to compassion towards others. And as for wisdom, for those who still dream of it, it begins with knowing how to laugh at oneself. As for this collection, we would like it to fall, page by page, like a joyous drip.
