Orpheus one day received a magnificent lyre from Hermes, the messenger of the gods, and became a musician of exceptional talent.

Wherever his steps led him, the young man, accompanied by his precious instrument, sang of life and nature, enchanting all who met him. One day, he met the graceful dryad, Eurydice, and fell madly in love with her. After her death, distraught with grief, he decided to go and implore Hades, the god of the Underworld.
