With the help of Lhoussaine, a teacher from the Amazigh community, Jean-Marc rediscovers almost all of René Caillié's stopping points. This unique research is offered to readers. He meticulously and rigorously describes what he observes: extensive information on local life, environmental issues, and the deep social inequalities within Moroccan society. Organized encounters punctuate his journey: nursing schools, media libraries, cinematheques, and schools. He collects tales from elders. Along the way, friends come to encourage him and experience the atmosphere of an explorer. The author also shares the deeply moving moments he experienced during his journey.
