After successfully working as a teacher, librarian, and postwoman, the whimsical Miss Charlotte is about to take the train to Saint-Anatole. She is going to meet her friends Marie and Leo, to whom she once entrusted her dear Gertrude, the rock-confidante of her joys and sorrows. Disaster! As she is about to board the train, Miss Charlotte accidentally swaps her elephant hair bag with that of Prime Minister Roger Rabajoie. With the help of Gustave-Aurèle, the minister's son, she sets off in pursuit to retrieve her bag... Miss Charlotte then discovers that he is about to unveil a very, very boring education policy!
