It all begins when Pierre Sanak, a photojournalist for France Télévisions, accidentally meets this somewhat whimsical and very enigmatic young artist. Of Cambodian origin, Agathe was adopted, lives in Paris, never parts with her guitar, and seems to wander between several worlds... Pierre immediately falls in love with her.
Upon learning, during an editorial meeting, the incredible news of the momentary resurrection of Sokhom, a young Cambodian who supposedly had a near-death experience, Pierre can't help but draw a tenuous link with Agathe's story...
The journalist immediately flies off for a week of intense investigations in Siem Reap and the Angkor jungle where, long after the genocide, orphanage tourism seems to persist. A dangerous race against time then begins.
Will Pierre manage to uncover Agathe's secret?
