Marcel Baral, a retired man, lives alone and in seclusion in Massan, a village in Languedoc where he reigned as an absolute master for some thirty years as a municipal police officer.
A moment of madness led him to divorce Isabelle, the great love of his life, and also estranged him from Alexandre, his only son.
However, an accident brings them closer, and it is to win back the affection of this child and rebuild the bond destroyed twenty-five years earlier that Marcel decides to change his life.
The Old Man Who Dreamed of Love, Jean-Pierre Grotti's seventh novel published by TDO Éditions, explores the intricacies of family relationships with great subtlety.
