Marcel Baral, a retired man, lives alone and in seclusion in Massan, an Occitan village over which he reigned supreme for some thirty years as a municipal warden.
A moment of madness led him to divorce Isabelle, the great love of his life, and at the same time alienated him from Alexandre, his only son.
However, an accident will bring them closer and make Marcel realize that he has played the wrong role throughout his life. It is to regain his child's affection and rebuild the bond destroyed twenty-five years earlier that Marcel decides to radically change his way of being.
He, the tough, the ruthless, will begin to dream of love...
