In this oppressive and dismal city, militias are everywhere, and people die as easily as they breathe: violently. Art is forbidden and Baptiste, a young writer deprived of ink, slowly gives in to despair. It is Lothar, the principal dancer with broken legs, who will save his soul and his art: taking refuge in a shipwreck amidst the vineyards, the two friends rediscover a taste for life.
