The Anthology of Spiritual Enlightenment, Erik Sablé

Some beings experience, at a given moment in their existence, an "opening to another state of consciousness." This experience, marking a total break with ordinary modes of thought and perception, happens abruptly and disrupts the usual structures of the psyche. The individual enters another reality that some call Satori, Nirvana, or Awakening, from which our world appears as an illusory shadow. In the first part, Erik Sablé explains what is known as awakening, and in the second part, he brings together a selection of testimonies from various religious and spiritual traditions: Hindu, Christian, and Islamic. Thus, through this transversal approach, the reader can better understand the convergences and divergences between these different experiences.
