Clea sets off to help the Irish princess Orla as troubles are piling up in the country. That evening, a large oak tree fell across the road leading to the castle, preventing guests from attending the annual ball. Clea and her new friend go to the scene of the disaster and are surprised to find that the tree has miraculously righted itself. They both realize that it is the work of eight little fairies and learn, at the same time, that they must find a magical shamrock, supposed to protect Ireland, to stop the incidents forever. The girls discover that a mischievous leprechaun, Fergus, has stolen it! And he, being very cunning, delights in setting traps for them...
