Our contemporary societies lead us to believe that we are free; it's an illusion. We are still shackled in our chains, even in the West. Chains that we mistake for wings: we believe ourselves to be in a democracy, we think that work allows us to emancipate ourselves, and we imagine that new technologies make our lives easier. Such is our daily "Newspeak". But oligarchy reigns, man is mired in consumer society and liberalism, security control is increasingly pervasive, while medical advances in procreation bring us closer to an "industrial manufacturing of the human". In this context, we must question and rethink the conditions for true human liberation. This is the work Denis Collin has undertaken. Based on numerous historical and philosophical references, he redefines these concepts and opens up new political, economic, social, and metaphysical perspectives for us. The establishment of "partial associations" at all levels of political organization, the end of wage labor in favor of producer cooperation, the realization of man through his creative activity, and the guarantee of the primacy of subjectivity over scientism, are among the weapons intended to break our chains.
