From the age of seven, Cú Chulainn, nephew of Conor, King of Ulster, proved himself such a formidable warrior that he had to be plunged into three tubs of ice water to temper his ardour. His comrades in arms tried everything to supplant him, but in vain: after very tough trials, they had to bow to his triumphant superiority. In the war now waged against them by the four provinces of Ireland, led by the ruthless Queen Medb, to seize a mythical bull, all the men in Ulster have been rendered powerless, victims of Macha's curse. Cú Chulainn, luckily, escaped the spell and finds himself alone to face four enemy armies in a series of titanic battles with anxious and hazardous outcomes. Freed from the spell that had afflicted them, the men of Ulster finally come to his aid and help him rout the Ulaid and the cursed queen. But hostilities resume, and this time it is a strange king from the Otherworld, who once stole the woman he desired, that the invincible hero defies. Medb, drunk with vengeance, as well as witches and magicians, conspire to destroy him through treachery. Trapped by multiple magical prohibitions, alone against all, can Cú Chulainn, once again, escape death?
