Used book – THE GAME OF LOVE AND CHANCE, MARIVAUX

Monsieur Orgon decides to marry his daughter Silvia to young Dorante. The two betrothed do not yet know each other, and anxious to discover each other's true personalities before committing, they have the same idea without knowing it: to introduce themselves under a disguise, and to probe each other's heart. Silvia pretends to be her maid Lisette, while Dorante takes on the costume of Arlequin, his valet. Monsieur Orgon and his son, Mario, who are the only ones aware of the four young people's stratagem, remain silent and decide to give love and chance a chance. This will be followed by misunderstandings and twists and turns at a frantic pace until love triumphs. The play was created at the Théâtre de la Porte Saint-Martin from January 16, 2018, directed by Catherine Hiegel, with Laure Calamy, Vincent Dedienne, Clotilde Hesme, Nicolas Maury, Alain Pralon, and Cyrille Thouvenin.
