Biography:

Georges Benko teaches at Panthéon-Sorbonne University and is a researcher at CEMI (Centre d'Etudes des Modes d'Industrialisation) - EHESS (Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales), Paris. Founding director of the journal Géographie, Economie, Société (Paris), he is a member of the editorial board of nearly 20 journals, including Economic Geography, L'Année de la Régulation, Espaces et Sociétés, and GeoJournal. Ulf Strohmayer is a professor of geography at the National University of Ireland, Galway. He is the head of his department. He co-edited Space and Social Theory (1997, Blackwell) and Geography, History, and Social Sciences (1995, Kluwer) with Georges Benko.
