Gipsy the truck driver is participating in a humanitarian operation in Central America. At the border of his destination country, he is stopped by army health service nurses. Their mission is to protect new arrivals from an epidemic that is ravaging the region. Like all truckers presenting themselves at the entry to this tropical republic, Gipsy is vaccinated against "Aztec Laughter VI", the deadly virus that devastates the country and manifests itself through a monstrous rictus and fits of murderous madness. The contagion is spreading all the more as convoys transporting vaccines are regularly attacked by the local mafia. At the first stopover town, the welcoming committee is most macabre: disguised as hilarious skeletons, dancers commit suicide by throwing themselves under the wheels of trucks, and half-putrefied living dead attack the truckers. All inhabitants are affected by the terrible illness. Appalled, Gipsy and his colleagues hurry to flee the place. On the road, however, encounters prove to be increasingly disturbing. Even the kids look suspicious! It is thanks to three of these children that the truckers nevertheless find one of their own who has fallen into a ravine. While they go to his aid, unaware that the accident is a trap set with the complicity of the children, a gang of mobsters appears, machine-gunning the drivers and seizing the vehicles. Although left for dead, Gipsy has not yet said his last word. Submitted to the thugs and apparently contaminated by the virus, have the kids also said their last word? Could Gipsy be the witness to eliminate from a bacteriological attack? An eventful delivery where stupefaction awaits the reader at every turn of the road... and page.
