Tilla and her son Kerleu have joined the Reindeer People tribe and are following the group on its migration. The shaman Carp has become the tribe's sorcerer and has taken Kerleu as his apprentice. Separated from her son, Tillu must endure the presence of Joboam, an evil man imposed on her by the master of the herds. But the tension between Joboam and the group increases day by day. And one evening, Kerleu does not return. Distraught, Tillu asks the chief to go look for him, when a sudden and mysterious illness strikes the tribe. Murders, violence, and poisonings follow one another. Tillu accuses Joboam, but he manages to turn the tribe against her. From then on, she has only one option: to flee again with her son.
