Jean-Pierre Darroussin's memories sing of "le temps des cerises" (cherry blossom time). Etched in his memory are the working-class neighborhood of Courbevoie, his wild escapades with friends, and his beginnings as an actor. His ever-present and benevolent father, a worker and intellectual, instilled in him values of humanism and fraternity. With a mix of emotion and derision, the son remembers, revives, and pays tribute.
Born in 1953 in Courbevoie, Jean-Pierre Darroussin is an actor and director. "Et le souvenir que je garde au cœur" (And the memory I keep in my heart) is his first book.
"This book, which breathes grace and modesty, written with the collaboration of Sophie Blandinières, is also a way for the son to thank his father."
Le Figaro "Funny, touching, warm." Blibiobs
