Used book – Edmond Ganglion & Son, Joël Egloff

Saint-Jean is a small village adrift, somewhere. You don't leave Saint-Jean, and no one ever comes there. You're there, you stay there. Down Main Street, the "Edmond Ganglion & Son" funeral home is slowly dying, and now only has two employees: Georges, an old-timer, a gravedigger from way back, and Molo, a helpful but inexperienced young man. Ganglion is anxious, gnaws at himself, and prays for the scorching summer to finally cool someone down. Georges waits patiently, and Molo daydreams. Someone dies, finally, at the last minute, and everything begins.
