Ten-year-old Ziad discovers that his father is cheating on his mother with Muriel, the neighbor on the 5th floor. He decides to act and asks him to end the relationship. Unexpectedly, this brings them closer. Feeling guilty, Muriel, who ended her acting career after being assaulted by a director and is now a script supervisor, promises Ziad to take him to a film set.
Ziad, his parents Anne and Bertrand, and Muriel, grow up, stumble, brave storms, drift apart only to find their way back to each other. Like the Native Americans, they were caught off guard; like them, they don't have the right weapons. Will their imagination be able to change the course of things? A dizzying dance of beings desperately seeking light.
A graceful story whose characters love each other as much as they tear each other apart. Laëtitia Favro, L’Obs.
Du côté des Indiens makes a unique contribution to the #Metoo movement. Olivia de Lamberterie, Elle.
