Used Book – The Hour of the Knife, Ed Dee, Etienne Menanteau

One cold December morning, Detectives Joe Gregory and Anthony Ryan of the New York Organized Crime Unit witness a far from innocent scene: thugs who appear to belong to the Mafia are throwing a 200-liter drum into the icy waters of the East River. Convinced that the drum contains a body, they call in divers who do indeed find a body, but... in another drum. Even more troubling, the body is that of Jinx Mulgrew, a cop who disappeared ten years earlier.
