Debout-payé is the novel of Ossiri, an Ivorian student who became a security guard after arriving undocumented in Paris in 1990. It is a hymn in honor of a family, a mother, and the African community with its flaws, its suffering, and its differences. It is the political story of an immigrant and his view of our country, through the evolution of the security guard profession, from Françafrique to post-9/11. Finally, it is a collection of things seen and heard by the author when he worked at Camaïeu in Bastille and Sephora on the Champs-Élysées.
