In the second part, "Behind the Scenes of Power," the author, then a senior health executive from 1993 to 2011, recounts his adventures in a world where mental health policy, led by its decision-makers, whether left or right, does not help things change or progress much, and the resulting implications... The author invites the reader to delve into an unfamiliar world, "the World of Madness," a world rarely spoken of or poorly understood. The psychiatric news of recent years, conveyed by media eager for every headline, does not help demystify its image despite the energy and investment deployed by all its representatives, day after day.
