At 15, Jean-Pierre Brouillaud accidentally learned that he would lose his sight. As if to assuage his mother's fear that he wouldn't be able to have "a normal life," he rebelled and hit the road. Sex, drugs, rock 'n' roll, and the paths to Kathmandu – Jean-Pierre Brouillaud constantly sought to prove that blindness was not an obstacle to discovery and encounters. He reflects on what his travels – particularly in Asia, Africa, and Latin America – brought him and truly makes us see the world through his eyes.
"A man, when he is finally at peace with himself, even if he is blind, has the gaze of an eagle." Jean-Pierre Brouillaud "Jean-Pierre Brouillaud is a concentrate of pure life; an exception in these times when insignificance is gaining ground." Patrice Franceschi Jean-Pierre Brouillaud lives in Ardèche. For several years, he has been recounting his travels on his blog, "The Illusion of Disability."
